Robert Nefsky is a partner of Rembolt Ludtke LLP, Lincoln, Nebraska, where he has practiced law for nearly 40 years.    His focus has been on insurance regulatory, insolvency and receivership for the past 20 years.    A significant part of his practice includes representing companies before the Nebraska Insurance Department.  He served as lead counsel to the Nebraska Insurance Director as Liquidator of Amwest Surety Insurance Company and Far West Insurance Company, and was lead counsel to the Director as Rehabilitator in the successful rehabilitations of Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company and Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation.   He serves as an expert witness and consultant in insurance receivership matters. 

Mr. Nefsky is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Nebraska College of Law.  He is a member of the Federation of Regulatory Counsel (FORC) and the International Association of Insurance Receivers (IAIR).   He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America in corporate law since 1995 and is A-V rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Nefsky has served as an expert witness in insurance receivership matters.   In 2012 he provided expert testimony in In re: Frontier Insurance Company, in the Supreme Court of the State of New York on the nature of surety insurance under New York’s insurance insolvency law.   The court cited Mr. Nefsky’s testimony as a basis to render its decision.

Mr. Nefsky is active in civic and cultural matters.   In particular he has served in Ieadership roles in arts and humanities organizations on a statewide and regional level.
