Jacqueline Lenmark was born in Seattle, Washington in 1945. She was raised in Southern California, graduating from Loma Linda University in 1967. After college Jackie obtained her M.A. in English from Andrews University in Michigan, and worked for a time as an in-house editor for an accounting firm in Chicago, Illinois. She returned to Southern California in 1970 where she worked for patent lawyers and first became interested in the practice of law. Jackie moved to Helena in 1975 where she began working with the Montana Legislative Council legal division. Upon graduation from the University of Montana School of Law with honors in 1985, she joined the firm where she has practiced law since.

While in law school Jackie served on the editorial board and as editor-in-chief of the Montana Law Review. After entering private practice, Jackie resumed her association with the Montana legislature, this as lobbyist, counting among her many government relations clients the American Insurance Association, American Council of Life Insurers, AFLAC, and the American Civil Liberties Union. Her law practice now emphasizes insurance litigation, real property and commercial transactions, and government relations. She also frequently serves as a mediator, primarily in domestic relations disputes. In 1993, the Montana Supreme Court appointed Jackie to the Montana Board of Bar Examiners for which she now serves as Past Chair. She also served on the University of Montana School of Law Board of Visitors from 2006-2011. Jackie is admitted to practice before the Montana Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Montana, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court, and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

An active supporter of the Helena arts community, Jackie has participated in and served on the boards of numerous Helena community organizations, including the Helena Symphony Chorale, Intermountain, Myrna Loy Center, St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation, and the Montana Club. She finds particular enjoyment in sailing, canoeing, gardening, and ongoing restoration of the historic building she calls home.
